We are seeking young visionaries that are passionate about building collective power in Inglewood, CA and greater South Bay. 

Committee Descriptions:

Organizing Committee:

  • Build relationships with community organizations and agencies
  • Organize community events

 Policy Committee: 

  • Research and track current state and local policies
  • Develop policy fact sheets
  • Organize policy campaigns 

Marketing Committee:

  • Develop content for website, social media platforms, press talking points

Fundraising Committee:

  • Organize fundraising events and campaigns

Programming Committee:

      • Create curriculum for workshops for ING Fellows 

Membership Committee: 

      • Recruit ING Fellows, Mentors, and Council Directors and Committee Members
      • Engage ING Alumni Network

Operations Committee:

  • Provide administrative support
  • Organize workshops and activities for the ING Leadership Council

Requirements:

Expectations:

  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Former or current Inglewood/South Bay residents, or those that have a connection to Inglewood/South Bay
  • Interested in leadership development 
  • Desire to create transformative change in Inglewood
  • Passionate about social justice
  • Possess skills in respective Committee
  • Attend biweekly meetings to work on collaborative projects and actions
  • Commit to at least one year

TimeLIne:

  • February 13, 2024 – Applications open
  • February 21, 2024 – Info Session
  • March 1, 2024 – ING Fam Reunion
  • March 4, 2024 – Applications close
  • March 6-13, 2024 – Interviews
  • March 15, 2024 – Notifications of application status are sent
  • March 18, 2024 – Onboarding meeting
  • March 19, 2024 – Join first ING Leadership Council meeting
