Mentors and Fellows
Applications WILL OPEN 2025
The ING Fellowship pairs each fellow with a mentor, and provides training and workshops focused on how to start or support local government initiatives and policies that address different issues affecting the Inglewood community. Together, as a cohort, fellows are tasked with developing projects and actions throughout the Fellowship to build the skills necessary to increase civic engagement in Inglewood and make a positive impact in the community.
MENTORS
Requirements:
- Passionate about social justice
- Desire to create transformative change in Inglewood, CA
- Prior experience in mentoring
- Preference for those that have prior experience in organizing and advocating for different social justice issues
FELLOWS
Requirements:
- Former or current Inglewood/South Bay residents, or those that have a connection to Inglewood/ South Bay
- Ages 18 – 30 years old
- Passionate about social justice
- Desire to create transformative change in Inglewood
- Excited to work in a year long project
Expectations for both mentors and fellows:
- Attend bimonthly weekend meetings for trainings and workshops focused on different social justice issues
- Attend weekly meetings to work on collective projects and actions such as community toolkits, etc.
- Attend at least 3 community events
