Fellows and Mentors

Applications Now Open!

The ING Fellowship is a nine-month program that pairs Fellows with Mentors and provides trainings and workshops focused on how to organize, mobilize, and address different social justice issues. Together, as a Cohort, Fellows are tasked with starting or supporting local community initiatives that address these issues affecting Inglewood and the Greater South Bay Area. Ultimately, Fellows are empowered to increase civic engagement and make a positive impact in their communities.

FELLOWS

Requirements:

  • Former or current Inglewood or Greater South Bay Area residents, or those that have a connection to the Area
  • Ages 18 – 30 years old
  • Passionate about social justice
  • Desire to create transformative change in Inglewood and the Greater South Bay Area
  • Excited to work on local community initiatives
  • Receive a $250 stipend!

MENTORS

Requirements:

  • Passionate about social justice
  • Desire to create transformative change in Inglewood and Greater South Bay Area
  • Prior experience in mentoring 
  • Preference for those that have prior experience in organizing and advocating for different social justice issues

Timeline:

  • Applications open October 1 , 2025
  • First round applications close December 1, 2025
  • Second round applications close January 1, 2026
  • Final round applications close January 15, 2026
  • Interviews are scheduled January 18 – 23, 2026
  • Notifications are sent by January 26, 2026

Expectations for both Fellows and Mentors:

  • Attend bimonthly weekend meetings for trainings and workshops focused on how to organize, mobilize, and address different social justice issues from January to May
  • Attend weekly meetings to start or support local community initiatives from June to September
  • Attend at least 3 community events throughout January to September
